RHNA progress
California's Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) mandates that each jurisdiction plan for and permit a target number of housing units over an 8-year cycle (2023–2031), broken down by income level. The bars below show how many units have been permitted so far toward each target.
Jurisdictions that fall behind their RHNA targets may face state accountability measures, including SB 35 ministerial streamlining requirements for housing projects.
